Like Water Returning to Its Source
The healing journey of Edwin Alvarez
For over two decades, my path has been one of continuous learning, embodiment, and attunement—a quiet but steady return to the source. Spring Stream Acupuncture was born from this journey: a meeting point of tradition and experience, stillness and movement, medicine and heart.
My exploration began with the discipline of yoga, which awakened both my body and awareness. It later deepened through the practice of Tai Chi and Qi Gong—gentle but powerful arts that continue to shape how I engage with health, energy, and presence. These practices helped me build a relationship with my own nature—physical, emotional, and spiritual.
Over the years, I pushed past my limits by running marathons and working through emotional and physical challenges. I learned to witness pain as a teacher, not just a signal. That spirit of resilience carries into my work today.
Since 2011, Spring Stream Acupuncture has provided a grounded, compassionate space for healing. Through Classical Chinese Medicine—acupuncture, Chinese herbs, movement, and breath—I support others in reconnecting with their innate vitality. I draw from Meridian Therapy, Tung’s Acupuncture, Orthopedic Needling, and Canonical Herbology to create treatments that are tailored and timeless.
